A Home Office Retreat

This masculine home office needed to be updated as it was to become the wife’s home office. The stained built in cabinets, mantle and coffered ceiling treatment felt heavy, and while the grasscloth wallpaper was in good condition, the color didn’t work with the new plan. A feminine scheme was necessary to update the space.

Project Overview:

Painting a medium gray on the built in cabinets, mantle, trim, and coffered ceiling detail was a huge part of the fresh update to the room. Paired with a monochromatic paisley wallpaper of friendly pineapples, the colors soften the space. A white leather office chair tucks into the desk. Upholstered pieces, including a bright pop of strawberry pink, mix with a soft rug in shades of gray, pink and coral. The pink is repeated in the drapery side panels hung on acrylic drapery rods, throw pillows and art. Now this home office is ready for work!
